What's the point?
=================
This plugin allows XMPlay to play VCL files. To install the plugin, put the
XMP-VCL.DLL file in the same directory as (or a sub-directory of)
XMPLAY.EXE.

NOTE: The file AUDIO.EPC must be in the same directory as the VCL files.

NOTE: You must have XMPlay 3.5 or above to use this plugin.

The "Config" window
===================

Change frequency to:
    VCL files include the original frequencies of the digital sound effects;
    however, the games don't use them exactly as they are, but change it to
    one of the three options below, which you can select in this plugin.
    The original frequency is shown on the XMPlay main window and the actual
    frequency in the "General" info window.

    SoundBlaster time constant:
        Only found in Jill of the Jungle 1.0. Frequencies tend to be off by
        a couple of Hz; in Jill's case, all by 24.

    6087.7 Hz:
        Found in most Jill episodes and versions and in Kiloblaster 1.0. All
        digital sound effects will be played at 6087.7 Hz, no matter what.
        (They use the direct mode and set timer 0 to 65536 / 333.)

    6250 Hz:
        Found in Jill of the Jungle 1.2, Kiloblaster 2.0 and Xargon 3.0.
        (They set the time constant to 96, even though the executables show
        160 and 170.)

VCL Display
===========
The "VCL Display" is to the PC Speaker sound effects what the "MOD Pattern
Display" is to MOD formats and even uses the same green for instrument
changes.
